Ever wondered what the characteristics of a good book are? Well, I am here to tell you all about it.
As learners of Iloilo Scholastic Academy, reading books is substantial in our school. Winning competitions year after year is a major accomplishment. The ISA library has a lot of unique and interesting books for learners to read. One of them will be the next topic I am going to talk about.
The Harry Potter books are a must read. Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling is a very interesting book where you can get a lot of information from. The characters of the book, Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley taught their readers the value of friendship. Their friendship then taught us to be bold, have perseverance and always have each other’s backs.
While reading a good book, you can experience and relate to the happenings that the characters encountered. You can feel the magic, adventures, and the excitement they felt in the story you are reading. Also when reading, you can create new and fun concepts in your daily life. Even though you are alone, stories are there to entertain and give you mixed emotions. We can learn, enhance, and increase our knowledge on how to use words correctly.
The amusing and thrilling entertainment that the book gives you makes your mind get interested to flip through every page of a book until you reach the ending, and that feeling of delight that you finished that book and enjoyed it is truly pleasurable.
A great book influences our lives. It influences our thoughts and perspectives through the process. It can be a good moral lesson that we can apply in our daily lives. In the book Harry Potter, it shows that them helping each other – as a family, a friend, and a group – fight against their enemy can give them the peace and freedom that they deserve.
