First Day Hi 2021 Opening Remarks, 12 July 2021
ISA Facilitators, ISAers, Parents, ladies and gentlemen,
A pleasant morning to you all.
In the opening day last school year, I spoke to you about the unknown challenges we were facing under the online mode of learning. What we thought would be a year of evanescent disturbance had not ended with the previous school year. Instead, our community continues to be under intermittent quarantine. Months of influx of life-saving vaccines fell short of the demand to meet the minimum requirements to turn our community into a safe place against the relentless onslaught of the Covid19 virus.
On the other battle front, the Learning Front of this defensive war amidst the pandemic, however, in this battleground where you and I have been constantly at the forefront, we, as a community, experienced an extraordinary success. Last year, we courageously traversed the uncharted water, the totally unknown phenomenon commonly known as the Online Mode of Learning, which was by then completely unfamiliar to everyone. At the end of one year, we could proudly say we won the battle, we finally emerged as the victors in that unprecedented struggle against the formidable odds.
Regrettably however, there were a few ISAers who failed to cope with the challenges, they drifted somehow away from the main path of the advancing regiment of ISA community of learners. To these ISAers, I say to you, do not be discouraged, you have another opportunity to prove your worth. With hard work, perseverance, honesty and obedience, this time around, you will be able to hit the target ISA has set for you.
Today we begin to write a new chapter in the history book of ISA. May each member of the ISA community, particularly the ISAers and their mentors, continue to write more emboldening success stories, inspiring learning experiences, heart-warming school life stories everyday, every hour, every minute, every moment.
Keep safe everyone, thank you.
