Forgiveness is a blooming bud of spring
Meant to grow after cold, harsh winters,
Meant to replace frost-shrivelled blossoms
That’ve fallen, buried in blankets of snow
It is a blade of incomparable calibre
Forged only by the eternal warmth of love
Meant to be unyieldingly merciful, gentle
Meant to defeat foes through the sharpness of its pardon
And it is a candle of everlasting flame
For those who dwell in the dark yet long to see color
Meant to find those in the marshes of bitter memories
Meant to lead them to new waters sweet and calm
