G7 ISAers Get Their Hands Dirty on Their Field Trip

Our Grade 7 learners spent a whole day exploring Iloilo, learning new things, and making memories they’ll surely look back on with a smile.

The trip started at Iloilo Living Farm in Sta. Barbara, where the learners excitedly fed a group of Nubian goats, gave milk to baby goats, and even tried milking a cow. Getting to the farm was an adventure in itself—the muddy road made the walk challenging, but it turned into one of the most fun and unforgettable moments of the day.

Their next stop was Orchard Valley in Tigum, Pavia, where they learned about vermiculture and saw how earthworms help improve the soil. By lunchtime, everyone was hungry, and they enjoyed a boodle-fight meal at Pyt’s Restaurant in La Paz, sharing food and laughing together.

After eating, they walked to the La Paz Plaza Football Field, where they ran around, played tag, and enjoyed a much-needed break. The wide field gave them the perfect space to unwind and just be kids.

In the afternoon, they visited UPV MACH, where they discovered different pieces of Ilonggo culture—from traditional instruments and religious relics to historical artifacts, artworks, and music that tell the story of Iloilo from precolonial times.

They also toured the Adoro Gallery, which features the impressive art collection of Ed Valencia. The gallery displays a mix of rare works by international, national, and regional artists, along with rotating exhibits that highlight creativity, memory, and Ilonggo artistry. It is a space built by the Valencia family to share their love for art with the community.

The last stop was the City Garden of Love, where the learners relaxed, enjoyed the flowers, and spent a calm, refreshing afternoon together.

✨ It was a full day of learning, discovery, and joy—a memory our learners will surely treasure. ✨
