The ISA Circle of Musicians (ICOM) is the sole music club at ISA. It is made up of Grade 5 to Senior high school ISAer musicians who are willing to pursue, show, and improve their talents in music.
ICOM is a great venue and an important part of the school’s varied life, where musical talent is nurtured and leadership is essentially exercised and fostered through rehearsals, jamming sessions, club meetings, and performances.
Furthermore, ICOM provides practice spaces and a diverse range of instruments that are well maintained, an opportunity for members to get together and discuss music, express themselves, and be involved in a variety of musical activities, allowing them to meet new people, develop and acquire a diverse range of musical abilities.
Our purpose is to provide a safe environment for ISAers to discover their hidden musical abilities, participate in hobbies and activities they like, learn new skills, nurture and develop their musical talents, and become a source of entertainment for the ISA community.

The Canta’Ta is a music collaboration project that takes place on a monthly or bi-monthly schedule, with mini-productions and trainings taking place within the club.
The main objective of the project is to allow the club members to explore other areas of music performance, such as composition, playing by ear (oido), improvisation, the capability to “jam” (perform with other musicians), and the ability to actively distinguish elements of a musical piece instead of just passively listening to it.
The project will also include several themes in which participants, listeners, and viewers will learn to appreciate other cultures through music. The members will perform selected classical music, Asian and Western pop music covers. Finally, this is an excellent forum for ISAers to further their interest in listening to OPM music.
This event is a yearly on-campus and school-wide competition for music composition and lyric writing. The event will be a joint project among other ISA clubs.
This is a one-day song writing training workshop that will be held during the months of January and February. The activity is exclusive to club members, and will be conducted by a guest speaker. This workshop is a formation activity for our flagship, the ISA’ng Himig Songwriter Lyric Contest.
These are series of lectures and trainings, with an emphasis on harmony, musical form and structure, chord progressions and music genres. The activity is exclusive to club members and are held during the months of September to November. Following the conclusion of the lectures, there will be a culminating activity.
This activity is a pre-recorded virtual music performance of OPM songs that is streamed on the club’s social media channels on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month in July and August. The performers and committee members are exclusive within the club. The activity aims to expose ISAers to OPM music while promoting patriotism among Filipino citizens.
