ISA is Second Most Awarded School in Iloilo with 36 Recipients in Australian Math Competition

The Mathematics Trainers’ Guild Philippines (MTG) conducted the awarding ceremony of the Philippine-Australian Mathematics Competitions for Westpac Award 2014 on 9 January 2015, 8 am at Iloilo Grand Hotel, Iznart Street, Iloilo City.

Thirty-six ISA learners received their certificates on the said day, making ISA the second most awarded school in terms of number of learners receiving Distinction, Credit, and Proficient awards. The most number of recipients is the government-run SPED with 43 awarded, and the third most awarded Sto. Domingo National High School has 33 recipients.

Among the 46 ISAers who joined the AMC in August 2014, six received Distinction Awards, and Sixteen received Credit Awards. The Distinction awardees are Grade 3 Althea Servano, Megan Talabucon, Jacques Timtiman, Grade 4 Byung Ha Kang, Grade 5 Neriah Kryselle Ahhi, and Grade 6 Donna Kim. We see in our learners a considerable progress in the result of the 2014 AMC compared to the previous year’s result where two ISAers received Distinction and eighteen received Credit Awards.
