Earlier today, the Iloilo Scholastic Academy (ISA) community participated in the 7th installation of Science in Action in the safety of their homes via the Zoom platform.
The opening program was hosted by the ISA Learners’ Council President Sean Lao and Vice President Anton Ang. The program also included opening remarks by Mrs. Vina Jalipa, an inspirational message from Pavia National High School teacher Mr. Ian John Galupar, and a “Blast from the Past” video of past experiments and messages from the ISAers.
“Let us not allow this pandemic to stunt our growth, but let it be a challenge to each of us, ” said Mrs. Jalipa, the Executive Secretary of the ISA Board of Directors, “The more this pandemic threatens us, the more we will discover what and how science and technology can do in our human existence.”
The following segment was the presentation of the Capstone Research, where Grade 12 learners displayed their Science Investigatory Projects and results. Live hands-on experiments were also conducted by each class.
“Learning is not just about going to school, it comes from a well-rounded experience, and the widening of knowledge about the truth of life,” remarked Mr. Galupar.
The fourth part of the program resumed offline. Prior to the event, the ISAers had prepared an array of videos showing their science experiments. All the videos are now accessible through the official Iloilo Scholastic Academy Facebook page.
