No One is Left Out

Opening Remarks During ISA Science Fair (part 3)

Ladies and Gentlemen:

Good Morning.

It is a great honor to have with us this morning Dr. Clarissa Zamora, the Assistant School Division Superintendent of the Division of Iloilo City, Dr. Jerry Lego, the Chief Education Supervisor, School Governance and Operation Division of the Division of Iloilo City, and Mrs. Melody Lacuesta, The division ECD Coordinator of the Division of Iloilo City. Their presence is an affirmation of the support and trust given to us by the Department. We are honored to have with us the president of Iloilo Scholastic Academy Board of Directors, Mr. Venido Pena, the Executive Secretary, Mrs. Vina Jalipa, the Directors, Mrs. Juliet Go, Mr. Enrique Te. Their presence is another strong affirmation of their unending commitment and dedication to the cause ISA stands for.

And, of course, I’m very glad to see a large number of ISA parents, students from the invited schools present here this morning. I hope that through this modest undertaking, the learners will not only be get closer to science, they will get closer to each other as well.

“No one is left out” is a principle the school has been consistently adhering to, since its establishment 13 years ago. The Science in Action part 3 is one good example. Today and tomorrow, the nearly 500 ISA learners from Grade 1 to Grade 11 will not only perform some simple yet thought-provoking science experiments, moreso, each one of them will have to explain the entire procedure of a particular experiment in public, in front of so many strangers, and more likely, will be compelled to answer questions raised by the viewers.

I am confident the learners of the host school and the students of the invited schools, as well as the general public will have lots of fun. After all Science is Fun.

Again, welcome to the Iloilo Scholastic Academy Science in Action Part 3. Thank you.
